At San Diego Comic-Con 2019 from July 18-21, Lucasfilm will be celebrating the history and future of stormtrooper design with an exhibit that includes nine screen-used costumes of an Imperial stormtrooper, TIE pilot, death trooper, shoretrooper, biker scout, First Order stormtrooper, First Order TIE pilot, Captain Phasma, and the brand-new Sith Trooper. It was teased in the episode that "The Sith Trooper is the next evolution of the Imperial First Order's soldiers and bears a more modern and menacing look worthy of its namesake".
Stormtroopers have been a part of the Star Wars franchise since the beginning. "And it has some subtle ties to previous stormtrooper designs, which I think fans will enjoy discovering".
The trooper armor display will also feature a photography and video component and Star Wars promises it will feature Star Wars creators and concept designers like Doug Chiang. And if you happen to be at Comic-Con next week, you'll have a shot at getting the first Star Wars Sith Trooper merchandise, including figures and more. But the Sith Trooper is something unique, combining the regimented Empire and the darker, spiritual might of the Sith, presaging the return of Emperor Palpatine in The Rise of Skywalker. It will be available at Booth #1929 and the early release edition will be sold for $230. First, check out Hasbro's "Black Series" special edition Sith Trooper action figure, which SDCC 2019 attendees will be able to buy for $32.00.
Of course, we know this isn't the first time we've seen red-clad "Star Wars" bad guys.
The Sith would eventually institute a strict training regimen to become a Sith Trooper. While we don't have an official movie image of the character yet, there are going to be plenty of SDCC exclusives tied to the SITH TROOPER including. This is also one of the rare instances the name Sith has been brought up in the sequel trilogy.
What do you make of this new Sith Trooper design?
