Build-A-Bear hosting 'Pay Your Age' day in June

This year, the toy company is changing things up.

The deadline to complete the following three steps is 11:59 p.m. on June 16.

Build-A-Bear Workshop is bringing back its Pay Your Age promotion, but the company is putting in safeguards to prevent having extremely long lines and angry customers.

For anyone who would like to take part in paying for a brand new Build-A-Bear based on their child's age, he or she will need to enter the Count Your Candles Sweepstakes to be one of the lucky ticket holders to attend the event. Ten people will win a birthday party from the store.

For anyone who has kids, or has been to a shopping centre with one - you'll know that Build-A-Bear is a particularly appealing concept for children. Once the ticket is in hand, you can redeem them at Build-A-Bear Workshops between June 24 and 28. But the company is limiting how many tickets and timing.

Last summer, Pay Your Age Day was a one-day event held in U.S., Canadian and U.K. Build-A-Bear stores that ended abruptly due to crowd sizes.

Lastly, once you do all that, you'll be able to enter for a chance to receive a Pay Your Age ticket or even win a birthday party experience valued at $250.

Hopeful participants have until Sunday to sign in to or make a Bonus Club Member account and fill out a "birthday profile", which will allow them to enter the contest, the company said. "We have closed lines in our USA stores".
