The trailer ofStudent of the Year 2 was released on 12 April in Mumbai. Karan Johar had launched the now successful actors Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra in 2012 and today the Kalank stars sent their best wishes and love to the newbies Tara and Ananya. The trailer of SOTY 2, starring Tiger with newcomers Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday, was launched here on Friday.

While the rich and conceited Ananya flaunts her wealth, the glam queen Tara Sutaraia looks smitten by the boyish charm of Tiger, who keeps a straight face all through the trailer. Congratulations on getting into St Teresa. Looking like soo much fun. Produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta under Dharma Productions banner, the film will be distributed by Fox Star Studios and is slated to release in nearly a month from now, on May 10 this year. Although the actors of SOTY did complete justice to their characters, the SOTY 2 cast struggle to make an everlasting impact on the screen.

Tiger, when asked to comment on choosing a high school drama after working in action films said that he wanted to calm down after Flying Jatt.

Meanwhile, when we spoke to Tara about her awesome singing skills and on comparison with Alia who is also a great singer, she said, "I don't think I can compete with Alia because sings beautifully in Hindi".

The story of "Student Of The Year 2" revolves around one boy Rohan and two girls Mia and Shreya - their lives, college politics and romantic interests. "I am just too excited", Ananya said.
