Cloud Macchiato: Newest Starbucks drink contains egg white powder

Cloud Macchiato: Newest Starbucks drink contains egg white powder

In a press release, Starbucks says it will be "unlike anything you've ever tasted before", featuring "a cloud of cold milk foam that's light and smooth, topped with espresso shots and finished with signature caramel drizzle cross-hatch".

She'll have a Grande! It will be available with cinnamon or caramel flavouring, and the drink can be served hot or cold. On Friday, Starbucks will debut a playlist for International Women's Day, in addition to another playlist on Saturday featuring Grande's songs and some of her favorite music.

Lester Fabian Brathwaite is a Brooklyn-based writer, editor, bon vivant and all-around sassbag.

Both the "7 Rings" singer and Starbucks shared cryptic tweets about the collaboration on Monday, tweeted out cloud emojis.

While Grande hasn't publicly said why she's in the area, she's very likely practicing her upcoming Sweetener World Tour at Rock Lititz, as its campus includes rehearsal facilities for musicians to prep for live shows of various sizes.

"The original Spanish beverage combines cinnamon and lemon zest, with a frothy texture which inspired us to reinvent the beverage as a macchiato", said Erin Marinan, from Starbucks research and development team. Twitter was flooded with different takes on the teaming. She also borrowed a Starbucks green apron for the photo shoot.

Fans online joked that they would purchase a grande in the drink as a playful pun on Ariana's last name. You like our cloud? "It's a whole new way to love your Macchiato", read the beverage's description in Starbuck's official website. It also comes, unofficially, in the flavor of "disgusting", according to intrepid taste testers at Time Out New York.
