‘Criminal Minds’ to End After 15 Seasons

Sorry to break it to you sick, crime-obsessed freaks, but one of the greatest crime drama series of all time (after Law & Order: SVU, of course), Criminal Minds is coming to an end.

The show revolves around an elite team of Federal Bureau of Investigation profilers who analyze the country's most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again.

One of the longest-running dramas on television will take its final bow in the 2019-2020 season.

The final season of Criminal Minds will be an emotional ride for fans of the show.

"It is the quintessential CBS hit". Season 14 is now in production with its season finale set to air on February 6. "We are so proud to have aired it", CBS' EVP of current programs, Amy Reisenbach, said. It speaks to everything that we do best, which is to air quality television.

According to Deadline, CBS, CBS TV Studios and co-producers ABC Studios agreed to extend Criminal Minds for an additional 10 episodes to allow the series a "proper ending" after showrunner Erica Messer deemed extra episodes necessary to prevent Season 14 ending with a series finale or unresolved cliffhangers. "But they respect this series and the cast and the crew and the fans enough to end this properly".

As fans know, the show centers around FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, dealing with profiling criminals while investigating awful crimes.

CBS boasts that the show, which is executive produced by Erica Messer, has managed to hold up against Modern Family, Empire, Lost, and American Idol over the years.
