Sonali Bendre returns to India, husband says 'she is recovering very well'

She is recovering very well.For now, treatment has ended. She was in NY since July for her treatment for cancer. Thank you all for the love and support.

Revealing that her fight from cancer is not yet over and she is happily looking forward for the interval, Sonali added, "And now I'm on my way back to where my heart is". She has been putting up a courageous fight against high-grade cancer which she discovered only after reaching a critical stage in July.

Sonali, best known for her role in '90s movies such as Sarfarosh, Diljale and Duplicate, is married to filmmaker Goldie Behl.

Sonali made the announcement via a social media post, which included a message and a photograph in which she looked all set for the journey. She wrote, "I'm on my way back to where my heart is".

"Let's never underestimate what distance teaches you". Being away from home in the city of NY, I realised I was walking amongst so many stories", further adding, "And now I'm on my way back to where my heart is. Like any other patient, she will have to go for regular checkups.

Earlier in the day, Sonali had announced on Instagram that she is returning to Mumbai for a short break.

She has been visited by many friends and well wishers during her time in NY. As she came to India she was all smiling that was too clear that she is feeling relaxed after coming back to India. "The fight is not yet over... but I'm happy and looking forward to this happy interval". Talking to ANI, he said, "Sonali is doing good". But here's wishing a happy recovery for the braveheart.

With support from her family and friends, Sonali has always remained positive in her outlook as she battles the serious ailment. Sonali also attended Priyanka Chopra's bridal shower.
