TS Oscar was said to be about 927 miles east south east of Bermuda at midnight.
Sub-Tropical Storm Oscar has maximum sustained winds of 50 miles per hour (85 km/h), with higher gusts.
But forecasters said: This system may move closer to Bermuda after this time period depending upon its track.. Oscar is moving to the west at 16 miles per hour.
No coastal watches of warnings are in effect. Additional strengthening is possible as well due to the warm waters and low wind shear directly above the storm. Oscar is forecast to begin moving toward the north and then the northeast by early next week. The storm is continuing to transition from a hybrid storm to a full-fledged tropical system on Saturday night.
The 2018 Atlantic hurricane season officially started June 1, and it will end on November 30, the NHC said. The storm made landfall along the Florida Panhandle (as seen in the top video), causing the most damage in Mexico Beach and Panama City.
Forecasters at the Miami-based hurricane center say Oscar "is expected to accelerate quickly toward the northeast through the middle of the week".
The storm also hit Georgia, the Carolinas, and Virginia.
