Pixel Slate: first Images of Google’s new tablet leak

Share

Nearly daily, there is some or other news about the upcoming flagship killer Google Pixel 3 XL and the latest one being a new leak that shows the retail packing of the Pixel 3 XL. Google reportedly is also planning to launch a mini version of the Pixel 3 at the event called the Pixel 3 Mini. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones are scheduled to be unveiled on 9th of October and both the handsets will also go for pre-orders on the same day.

Pixel's end-of-the-year product cycle will again put it under a severe disadvantage over other flagships that featured earlier this year.

According to the latest leaked images, unearthed by blog MySmartPrice, the Google Home Hub will sport a 7-inch touchscreen mounted on a large speaker base.

Like the Pixelbook from previous year, the Pixel Slate seems to be equipped with 3:2 aspect ratio display. The Pixel 3XL is seen with an iPhone X style notched display and minimal bezels. On the back, you'll get a single-lens camera as well as a fingerprint sensor. There's a camera on the front and the back, but the resolution is not known yet. And that's for good.

The first Pixel devices reached 2.4 million shipments in the nine months ended June 30, 2017, the firm said. The latest leaked images show no sign of a front-facing camera on the Google-branded gadget, which seems like a odd oversight.

Undoubtedly, Google Pixel 3 stands in one of the most leaked devices of all time.

KitGuru Says: Google will be giving the Pixel lineup a complete refresh this year, with two new Pixel 3 smartphones and a new tablet. This time we're looking the exclusive camera features that the Pixel 3 series will get.

The Pixel 3 and 3 XL will differ in screen size and resolution, battery capacity, weight, and dimensions.

The notch, which provides a better screen-to-body ratio to the smartphone, seems more aggressive than other phones. It features a shortcut key for accessing Google Assistant. The review also reveals that flipping the phone upside down will turn on the Do Not Disturb (DND) mode. The review shows that in a low-light situation, the Pixel 3 XL is a clear victor over the iPhone XS Max.

The site is able to confirm many rumored specs, including lack of a headphone jack (a USB-C-to-headphone adapter is included), 6.3-inch 2960×1440 display, 128GB storage, Snapdragon 845 processor, 12.2-megapixel rear camera, and two 8-megapixel front cameras (one regular, one wide-angle).
