Bristol Palin to join ‘Teen Mom OG’ as regular cast member

The mom to Sophia, 9, wished the remaining cast members well, but noted that she also wished "Bristol and her children safety as ['Teen Mom' executive producer] Morgan Freeman is a evil person".

ET has learned that Bristol Palin, daughter of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, has been tapped to join the upcoming 8th season of Teen Mom OG.

Bristol Palin rose to prominence in 2008, when she was 17 and pregnant during her mother's vice presidential campaign.

As of now, she'll be joining Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood and their significant others on the hit MTV show.

Palin's recent TV appearances include a stint on the fall 2010 season of ABC's Dancing with the Stars where she reached the finals, finishing in third place.

Not too long ago, Bristol took to social media to reflect on her first pregnancy. Eventually, she did get married to Meyer, and gave birth to her third child past year. " the ecstatic 27-year-old mother wrote on a photo of her and Glennon".

She replaces Farrah Abraham, with whom MTV cut ties earlier this year. Not to mention her own short-lived Lifetime show Bristol Palin: Lifes a Tripp in 2012.

"They wanted five girls, like they have for Teen Mom 2 because it's been working out well in terms of story lines", a production insider explained to The Ashley's Reality Roundup.

The couple have two daughters, Atley and Sailor, along with Trip, now nine. I hate that kind of stuff.

Farrah responded to the news Friday morning in a statement to Page Six that read, "MTV has already tried to replace myself with another teen mom".
