For anybody who flies a lot and loves their AirPods - or any other wireless headphone - this little dongle could be a game changer, and your new favorite travel essential.
Fortunately, Twelve South just released a Bluetooth dongle - AirFly ($40) - that's specifically created to solve this problem. It runs for eight hours in between charges and you can top it up with a microUSB cable.
So you're on a plane or in a gym, faced with a 3.5mm headphone port, and suddenly realise your fancy wireless AirPods are about as useful to you as someone filling your ears with trifle. There are plenty of Bluetooth transmitters available that are meant to let you use your wireless headphones with wired-only audio gear but many, like Astell & Kern's AK XB10, are meant to be used with higher-end gear.
Wish you could listen to in-flight TV with your AirPods? AirFly is a tiny gadget from Twelve South that changes that by making any device with a 3.5mm headphone jack AirPods-compatible. If you're familiar with AirPods, you'll know they generally prefer to be paired with an iPhone or iPad, so the AirFly product page features a video showing you how to pair your AirPods.
We all Most people love AirPods. In addition, the AIrFly is available in Best Buy Express Machines and InMotion shops in most major airports.
