As for the India pricing of the phone, the official price will only be revealed by the company at the launch event today, but here at India Today Tech, we expect the Honor 10 to cost under Rs 30,000. Huawei Honor 10 both global and India launch are set for today, May 15. This will be simultaneously accompanied by an India launch as well for the device, with availability in the country set from midnight of May 16.
The phones initial price tag was equal to 115/$137 and 166/$200 and it is likely to be similar to Indian rupees - INR9,000 and INR13,000.
The artificial intelligence-enabled phone will have a metal frame and a glass back. It features a 5.99-inch FullView display with HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.
On the bottom, there is a small chin where Honor has placed an invisible ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which can also be used for navigation through the phone. Under the hood, the handset has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, coupled with 3GB of RAM. The Honor 10 runs EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and it is backed by a 3,400mAh battery.
The phone will be available in three variants. The smartphone is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage expandable via a microSD card. Namely, a 24MP + 16MP rear camera setup that's powered by a built-in NPU, giving it the ability to cleverly recognise over 500 different scenes (from pets to plants to people) and adjust your snapping accordingly. It will also include an 8MP front-facing camera. The camera will have an aperture rate of f/2.0 and is capable of recording Full HD videos.
Both the front and rear cameras are accompanied by a LED flash.
Other features of the phone include dual-band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, Type-C 1.0, USB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack, accelerometer, infrared port among others.
