Damon Wayans slams Clayne Crawford after Lethal Weapon star is axed

I stopped watching Warner Bros TV's revisionist Batman origin story after its first season as I wasn't a fan of its convoluted storytelling, but by all accounts the show has grown from strength to strength, especially on the back of Cameron Monaghan's critically acclaimed performance as a proto-Joker villain named Jerome. The sticker has words that read, "Clayne Crawford Is An Emotional Terrorist".

On the opposite side of the comic book spectrum, it was another case of being renewed for just one more as Fox put in an order for a fifth and final season of Gotham just as everybody thought it was done for. The brief clip was shared with a message to Lethal Weapon viewers who have taken issue with Crawford's firing after an alleged string of instances of bad behavior on set.

TVLine reports that the search for Crawford's replacement is officially underway, with a Season 3 renewal in limbo.

"It is true that I have been reprimanded twice during this past season of Lethal Weapon", he wrote in an Instagram post.

He wrote concerning the second incident that befell on the set of the drama sequence: "The second reprimand got here throughout an episode I used to be directing. @claynecrawford #noapology", Wayans explained. Wayans has since made his Twitter account private, but ConsquenceOfSound managed to grab screenshots before that.

Fox announced Sunday that the action drama Lethal Weapon has been renewed for a third season with American Pie's Seann William Scott taking over the co-lead role from Clayne Crawford, who was sacked last week for inappropriate on-set behavior.

Network chiefs Dana Walden and Gary Newman address the casting change on a conference call with reporters discussing their fall schedule. However, Newman is optimistic and points to other shows that went through similar shake-ups early in their runs, such as "NYPD Blue". "[Scott brings] good new dynamic to the show with a lot of its original dynamic intact".

Although the book seems to be closed on Crawford, Wayans posts several tweets later that day "now that the fate of the show is solidified".

Wayans also posted a video of a scene from a recent episode on the show, that Crawford directed, in which he was struck by flying shrapnel during a stunt.

As followers acquired upset concerning the information, Wayans defended the casting modifications and he shared a video of himself during which he says he was hit by shrapnel throughout a small explosion on the set. He also shared a photo of his bloody head. "How does the shrapnel from this hit me on the opposite side of the head?"

"He hit another actor in the mouth with a bottle of green tea and busted his mouth open", he added.
