Nitish Kumar's convoy attacked in Bihar, 2 security men injured

Police today arrested a man from Fatuha police station area in Patna district for threatening Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to kill him by exploding bomb. A report said that people of Nandan village wanted the Chief Minister to visit the Dalit Basti which led to a disagreement followed by stone pelting.

An official accompanying the chief minister told PTI over phone that some people had hurled stones at the cavalcade but it did not hamper the movement of the carcade. Some ten policemen in charge of the CM's security sustained severe injuries. However, two of the security personnel in his convoy were injured.

He said the cavalcade moved ahead for the village where the chief minister launched 168 schemes worth Rs 272 crore before addressing public meeting.

Soon after the attack, Nitish Kumar left the village for next programme at Haryana Farm. The villagers also raised anti-government slogans. CM Nitish Kumar who is carrying out Vikas Samiksha Yatra across the state was in Buxar when the incident took place.
