It is pretty much clear that HMD Global is preparing to launch a new version of Nokia 6. Apparently, while most of us were nursing Christmas hangovers, a report surfaced online suggesting that the Finnish company is working on a phone dubbed Nokia 1, which, obviously, should come behind the Nokia 2 in the pecking order.
After surprising the world a year ago with the return of the Nokia 3310, Finland's HMD Global has launched a budget phone that comes with a useful feature that few new phones seem to have - long battery life.
The handset is listed on Geekbench with the model number TA-1054 and the device is listed with Android 8.0 Oreo. The smartphone was recently spotted on TENAA revealing few details of the upcoming smartphone.
Besides these models, it is known that HMD Global will launch the Nokia 9 on January 19 in China. According to rumors and speculations, the company wants to launch major Nokia smartphones in early 2018.
"Based on its TENAA certification photos, the Nokia 6 will still retain a similar 5.5" Full HD display and an aluminium unibody design. On top of that, the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back of the phone too. The listing further reveals that Nokia 6 (2018) will be powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor along with Adreno 508 GPU.
Aside from that, the Nokia 6 also features a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing shooter.
Elsewhere there will be a 3,000mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.2, a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone port. The phone will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, which is a letdown as most the most smartphones are now coming with the latest Android 8.0 Oreo.
