The autopsy found conclusively that Bennington committed suicide and that there was a history of suicidal intention.
The report also found nothing out of the ordinary in the autopsy showing that Bennington was a relatively healthy man.
The paperwork notes authorities had found a bottle of prescription sedative Zolpidem in his bedroom, along with an empty bottle of Stella Artois beer, and a pint glass which was less than half full of Corona. According to Chester's wife, Talinda, he would do that when he got anxious. TMZ reported in October that nearly the entirety of his estate will be passed down to Talinda and his children, three of whom he shared with her and three from previous marriages.
Talinda said her husband was in an outpatient treatment program before he died and had told friends he had been sober for more than six months.
According to the results obtained by TMZ, Bennigton had a small amount of alcohol and ecstasy in his system at the time of his death. The world continues to mourn the loss of a true musical original and, by all accounts, a caring and loving family man as well.
