Beyoncé's Pregnancy Photo Is Most 'Liked' Instagram Post Of 2017

However, no one could hold a candle to one of the most culturally big photos in recent memory: Beyoncé's February 1 pic announcement that she was pregnant with twins. Clearly, the shortcut to Instagram clout in 2017 is baby related.

The top five most-liked Instagram posts of 2017 are out, and - apart from all belonging to celebrities - majority share a common theme. With over 130m followers, you'd think she would have received a few million more likes for her heartfelt post.

Selena Gomez, who remains the most-followed celebrity on Instagram, landed the third most-liked picture for her announcement about her kidney transplant.

In addition to the most-liked photos list, the social media platform also revealed that Selena is still the most followed celeb with over 130 million followers.

Of the 10 most-liked posts on the app, Beyoncé, Ronaldo, and Gomez claim all of the top spots between them.

Major personal news dominated the year-end list: In second place, Christiano Ronaldo's announcement about the birth of his baby daughter earned 11.02 million likes.

And the fifth most-liked Instagram post of 2017 belonged, again, to Cristiano Ronaldo - this time for his twins, Mateo and Eva.
