Applegate's battle with cancer has inspired the Anchorman star to switch over to a healthier diet for herself and her 6-year-old daughter, Sadie. That's her choice, ' Applegate said.

"The chances that my daughter is BRCA positive are very high", Applegate said. I have the monitors and the fed as healthily as possible.

She also makes it a point that her child isn't around too many stressors in her environment. By then, with a little luck, there will be progress.

"I look at her and feed her the cleanest foods", Applegate told "Today".

She added that some women elect to have their eggs frozen prior to the surgery and that the patients she sees who are thinking about having the operation do not make the decision lightly.
