Aamir Khan, who is now in Turkey, said that his upcoming Bollywood flick "Secret Superstar" is a "step in the right direction" towards gender equality. The actor is reportedly in Turkey attending an event on a special invitation from the Culture Ministry of Turkey.
"We have a lot to learn from him" "It was a very important experience for me", said Aamir Khan, on question of fans ' visit to mausoleum.
During his time there, he promoted his latest movie set to release worldwide on October 20. "All across the world, historically, for many years now, half of the population has always had a secondary position", he said.
Secret Superstar which is touted to be a film based on music, brings out the inner superstar of a teenage girl who is dreaming to become a singer and how she fulfills her dreams by keeping her identity hidden.
Aamir, who is in Turkey for promotion, said that he was glad that a women is the protagonist of the movie and that it is the step in the right direction to give women the equal oppurtunities that the deserve. Speaking about the upcoming movie, he was heard saying that the movie is a "step in the right direction" towards gender equality. Notably, the actor is scheduled to meet the Turkish Culture Minister Numan Kurtulmus, along with the film producers, actors and cinema students in Turkey.
