Rohrabacher met with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange two weeks ago in the Ecuadorian embassy in London where Assange took asylum after facing now-dropped sexual assault charges in Sweden.
In a Monday radio interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Rohrabacher confirmed that he met with Wikileaks founder Julian Assange early this month and received first-hand confirmation that the hacking of the Democratic National Committee that supposedly "sunk" the Hillary Clinton campaign did not come from Russian Federation at all, despite what the "intelligence community" would have us believe. Rohrabacher said after the meeting that he wanted to brief Trump on what Assange told him.
"It is my understanding from other parties who are trying to arrange the rendezvous, that a rendezvous with myself and the President, it is being arranged for me to give him the firsthand information", Rohrabacher said on Sean Hannity's radio show, according to a clip highlighted by CNN.
It's unclear why Assange, who now resides under diplomatic asylum in the Ecuadorian embassy in London, would chose to reveal important evidence about how Wikileaks acquired the emails to Rohrabacher, who is not a member of the House Intelligence Committee now investigating the DNC hack.
Rohrabacher told The Daily Caller recently that Assange promised him information about who was behind the DNC hack that the American intelligence community has said Russian Federation was involved with.
Rohrabacher said the information Assange provided him, if made public, would "outrage" Americans.
Rohrabacher did mention that his people are working with Trump's people to schedule a "rendezvous" to relay the information, which is apparently too secret for the congressman to pass along through any of the several official means by which the federal government is investigating the incident.
"When the American people realize that this is a con job and a power grab they'll be upset".
