Experts say a minor natural disaster has shaken parts of North Texas as residents farther south brace for Hurricane Harvey.
A 3.1 magnitude quake rattled parts of North Texas Friday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The 2.6. magnitude quake was centered about three miles west-northwest of the town of Summerville.

The USGS says this natural disaster, which hit near the intersection of West Irving Boulevard and N. O'Connor Road, is similar to the quakes experienced in 2015 in the same region.
