As a fan of both professional wrestling and mixed martial arts, watching Ronda Rousey in a WWE ring would be a surreal moment. She could be thinking of her future career options and wrestling in the WWE could be her next move. Right now, there’s a lot of smoke to the “Ronda Rousey to WWE” rumors.
Once the biggest names in UFC, Rousey’s career has come to a crashing halt with two heavy defeats in her last two bouts.
Fightful.com was told Tuesday morning that Ronda Rousey has expressed interest in a pro wrestling run, and has went as far as to learn some of the basics from a WWE Superstar. She could train now for a match at WrestleMania 34 next year.
TMZ’s cameras caught up with Jim Ross recently and as you can see by the clip below they asked the WWE Hall Of Famer about Ronda Rousey’s chances of coming to WWE.
This was set up at WrestleMania 32 when Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were dressing down The Rock, so he got Ronda Rousey from the front row.
It seems that the rumours are nearly confirmed, as reports are stating that Rousey has been training alongside 205 Live star and former Cruiserweight Champion, THE Brian Kendrick. While Eva Marie was always one of the worst wrestlers on the roster, she did improve somewhat after working with Kendrick at the WWE Performance Center and was actually developing more heat for her character before she disappeared from WWE action.
JR said “it’s inevitable” that Ronda Rousey shows up in WWE. She is now, in theory, free to receive a big payday from the WWE.
If Ronda is preparing for some kind of a match at WrestleMania then now would be the flawless time to jump in the squared circle and see how well she can merge her MMA training with the art of pro wrestling. Rumors ran rampant that the segment was created to set up a potential tag team match with Rousey teaming with Rocky to battle Triple H and Stephanie. Her entry into the industry was apparently a big talking point backstage at the tapings of the recent Mae Young Classic (which airs on the WWE Network later this month).
