Campbell continues to influence musicians of all stripes today, including country and pop stars Alan Jackson, Jakob Dylan and Keith Urban.
They said in a statement: “It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and legendary singer and guitarist, Glen Travis Campbell, at the age of 81, following his long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease”.

Glen was surrounded by his family and friends when he passed away at the Nashville Facility for Alzheimer’s patients.

Glen released over 70 albums in his decades-long career and his hits include “Gentle on My Mind”, “Wichita Lineman”, “Galveston”, “Country Boy,”Rhinestone Cowboy”, and many more”.
Glen Campbell was married. According to Rolling Stone, “Campbell was married four times, and has five sons and three daughters”.
News of his death was confirmed by a press rep from Universal Music Group. “As the disease has progressed, Kim, his wife of 34 years, has been by his side”, the newspaper reported, quoting Kim as saying, “That’s kind of where you feel like you are living when you are living with Alzheimer’s”.
“I’ll Be Me” documented Glen’s farewell tour and struggle with his Alzheimer’s diagnosis. “And I think he’s right”.
