There are multiple reports that a Niantic executive just announced at the event that they would be refunding everyone who attended Pokemon Go Fest for their cost of admission, as well as give out $100 in PokeCoins to every attendee. Unfortunately, gamers have been struggling to stay connected to the Pokemon GO servers in Chicago, likely because of the vast amount of players jumping into the game during the event. You can catch a short glimpse of these Pokemon in the brand new Trailer.
When will Legendary Pokemon start appearing in Pokemon Go? It won’t begin until Pokemon Go players participating in the festival catch enough Pokemon in a specific time period, though.
According to Niantic, these two Pokemon will be visiting Chicago for today only in celebration of Pokemon GO Fest, so those in attendance should be on the lookout for both.
It’s also very possible that these plans could change quickly, so it will be worth keeping an eye on the official Pokemon Go and Niantic Twitter accounts. But the trailer above shows Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, Lugia, and Ho-Oh.
The legendary Pokemon will be much powerful compared to other Pokemon in the game.

However, since the extension of the Pokemon Go Fest area, things appear to have become better, with a higher-quality of connection now available.
These legendary Pokemon can be used on raids, but cannot be used to guard gyms, as they are unwilling to leave their trainers’ sides.
Earlier in the day, the crowd began to grow restless with the on-going problems with the game, chanting “We can’t play” during segments of a live Twitch broadcast covering the day’s festivities.
