Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, Prince George of Cambridge and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge arrive for a children’s party for Military families during the Royal Tour of Canada. Prince George wore a checked shirt and shorts in red, white and blue to mimic the British flag. Kensington Palace releases George’s official portrait for 2017.
“The Duke and Duchess are very pleased to share this lovely picture as they celebrate Prince George’s fourth birthday, and would like to thank everyone for all of the kind messages they have received”, the palace said in a statement.
This time, the birthday portrait was taken by Chris Jackson of Getty Images, one of the regular royal photographers, who married Kate’s stylist, Natasha Archer, in May.
While his sister Charlotte had a little tumble and wobbly on the tarmac, George couldn’t wait to scramble into the helicopter and have a play!
The visit to an Airbus factory in Hamburg, Germany, culminated a five-day goodwill trip to Poland and Germany by the royal family this week.
Not long after she was comforted by her mother, Princess Charlotte was up on her feet, skipping happily along the tarmac before being helped up the helicopter steps by her father.
George’s parents, Prince William and Princess Kate, both 35, revealed George’s excitement about his upcoming birthday with well-wishers in Germany. She was comforted by her mother Catherine, who has won rave reviews for her performance on the tour, where she met survivors of the Holocaust and visited a concentration camp.
