The price in New Hampshire went down 3.9 cents to $2.23 a gallon and it went down 1.7 cents a gallon in Vermont. That’s only a penny lower than at this point a year ago, but it’s the lowest point gas prices have reached in June since 2005.
Locally, prices were 2.7 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and 5.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. “We might see a little bit of a pause here as we approach the Fourth of July holiday, with demand expected to pick up for the holiday”.
The auto club is predicting that prices should continue declining this week and set a new 2017 low. The national average has decreased 7.1 cents during the last month and stands 5.8 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago. The lowest state average so far this year was $2.26 on March 20.

The most expensive gas price averages in Georgia are in Atlanta ($2.19), Savannah ($2.18) and Albany ($2.12). About 25 miles to the southeast, Crookston stores were selling gas for $2.13, according to GasBuddy.
Bismarck averaged about $2.30 per gallon, according to AAA.
Florida gas prices averaged $2.27 on Sunday.
