The report cites a supplier out of China and says that the 2019 iPad Pro has the possibility to be released with a triple-lens.
While the next iPad Pro could come with three rear cameras, the regular 10.2-inch iPad might come with a dual-camera system, reported.
Reports suggest that not just iPads but upcoming iPhones would also be featuring a triple rear camera array. If latest rumors are anything to go by, the next-gen iPad Pro might be the next slate to get the feature. Likely an iPhone Pro would have more RAM and possibly a faster processor than other models. Leaker CoinX posted via Twitter that the naming convention for the iPhone for 2019 will include "Pro" hinting that high-end versions of the smartphone might be called the iPhone Pro.
The tweet comes from the anonymous account named CoinX, which has in the past accurately leaked information about Apple products. The new camera setup on the iPad Pro will reportedly feature three 12-megapixel camera sensors.
Beyond improved image quality for still photos and videos, more cameras could allow Apple to provide improved augmented reality experiences on the tablet. Pre-orders for both the iPad and iPhones should kick off on Friday, September 13 with a release happening seven days later on Friday, September 20.
According to a report on Mac Otakara, the new iPads could launch in October this year.
