After the incident at Bagel Boss went viral, the man is said to have appeared on Hot 97, a NY radio station. Employees at the chain told the Post that the man walked in at 9 a.m. on July 10 screaming about women rejecting him and about dating websites. According to the New York Post, the incident began when the man approached the counter to order, and a female employee working there smiled at him.
"He just went totally nuts". In footage captured during the incident, he can be heard complaining about being treated poorly because he's short and how women apparently don't want to be with him. Morgan said before he shouted at the man to "wipe the smirk" off his face.
"Shut your mouth you're not God or my father or my boss".
He then offers to fight the other man, telling him he's "not scared".
When another man, off camera, challenged him, the angry man told him to "Go ahead and attack me big..." which are his last words before being taken to the floor by the much bigger man. "If he didn't tackle him, it would've gone on and on". There were no injuries and no charges filed, but an employee noted the man never paid for his whole wheat bagel, which had an egg white and swiss cheese on it.
"So in bagel boss this morning, the misogynistic douchebag seen in the video was degrading nearly all of the female staff as well as other patrons", wrote 18-year-old Twitter user Diana Reyes, who uses the Twitter handle @oliviabradley88, in the caption to a 45-second-long video of the incident. He owns a cleaning business in the same area as the bagel shop.
Bloviating bagel buff Chris Morgan appears to have a YouTube channel filled with videos of himself unleashing rage at 7-Eleven workers, law enforcement and neighbors over his insecurities about his 5-foot stature.
Morgan told the Post that his dating life has changed since the bagel shop video went viral. Though being "vertically challenged" is not an automatic death sentence for a man, an article by The Conversation reveals "Eight Reasons Why Short Men Come Up Short," including in depth statistics that show they tend to be seen as "less powerful", therefore tend to be "poorer", and of course lest we forget, "women prefer taller men".
But another claim by Morgan, that the bagel shop invited him back for free food, was denied by the boss.
