Chakrabarti made the comments during a meeting with Sam Ricketts, the climate director for presidential candidate Jay Inslee. Climate change is the centerpiece of Inslee's run for president. I agree with the Speaker. Inslee's plan proposes transitioning to 100 percent clean energy, prioritizing on environmental and economic justice, and ending fossil fuel subsidies.
"I think I've had one or two conversations", she said.
And the speaker snapped back at journalists who tried to question her further on the feud.

Clay also slammed "juvenile" Chakrabarti, who idolizes Nazi sympathizers, after Chakrabarti said that centrist Democrats were "hell bent to do to black and brown people today what the old Southern Democrats did in the 40s".
He later deleted the post. But I do think if we don't have progress on racial justice it will be because of the new Dems and blue dogs.
Rep. William Lacy Clay (D-MO) blasted socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for suggesting that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was targeting her because Pelosi was racist, saying that it shows "how weak" Ocasio-Cortez's "argument is".
Sensing a need for communication, Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI), a co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, told reporters that he was working to secure a meeting between members of his group and party leadership, including Pelosi, to talk about "a whole bunch of things". In April, Pelosi said that a glass of water with a "D" next to it could win in Ocasio-Cortez's district.
