Six were Netflix Originals, but only one of those are actually owned by the company. The firm found that about 51% of current Netflix users planned to watch "Stranger Things".

It's hard to compare HBO, which discloses information about a single evening of viewership and doles out episodes weekly, to Netflix, which releases all of its episodes at once and shares viewership over a period of time. More than half of current Netflix subscribers, for example, acknowledged that they planned to stream Stranger Things 3.
It would be absurd for there not to be another season considering executive producer Shawn Levy already told Collider in April that it was 'definitely happening'.
