Further, over on the Alcatraz: Nightfall variant of the Blackout Alcatraz map, a new game mode has brought Hellhounds and the Warden to the island where the undead are more prevalent than ever.
The new mode will see players take on the role of Reaper in multiplayer as a scythe-wielding Specialist, battle their way across newly updated Blackout maps, and "take on an all-new Zombies experience". This update will also add an eerie change for the game's Blackout map along with new weapons for players to unlock and level up.
In Zombies mode, there's a new story and a massive new version of the Nuketown map, where the residents of the sleepy '50s town have started craving brains. Players will fight off hordes of new Zombie enemies, solve challenges, and discover new Easter eggs in a wild experience up to the very end.
In addition, Split-Screen co-op will also be restored in all Blackout modes with our July 9th update alongside new Blackout map updates.
"Reaper's Special Issue Equipment, the Radar Shroud, is a deployable jamming device that conceals an area on enemy mini-maps". Known as Operation Apocalypse Z, this portion of added extras is looking to focus on the iconic Zombies mode, and both new and old content is coming in. The second map Remnant takes players to the Louisiana swamps to visit The Museum of Unnatural History, which has recently purchased a unique relic.
Blackout will also be seeing some new tweaks to its original map, and the Haunting Fog will be appearing. The map is designed in a Z-shape resulting in a combination of close and long-ranged firefights. For the first time, they will be able to play either as Primis or Ultimis characters.
Original Story - The next Call of Duty Black Ops 4 update is coming this week but before Infinity Ward can release anything they'll be holding a livestream to showcase some of what they have in store.
