Tie-Dye is giving Starbucks a boost. Perhaps, like my experience, it was at summer camp as you marveled at those cool, colorful concentric circles you could make by rubber-banding part of a plain white T and dipping it into various buckets of brightly-tinted dyes.
Starbucks announced Wednesday that it is launching a new Tie-Dye Frappuccino blended beverage - a flawless accessory for summer, the company says. Get it while you can. The colors come from turmeric, red beet and spirulina.
It's similar to other novelty beverages Starbucks has launched in the past, such as the Unicorn Frappuccino and the Witch's Brew Frappuccino.
The Tie-Dye Frappuccino will be available at all Starbucks locations in Canada starting on Wednesday, July 10.
The fruity drink features red, blue and yellow tie-dye swirls, topped with vanilla whipped cream and dusted with red, blue and yellow powder.
What's the flavor you ask? The drinks are crafted for their potential to go viral on social media with aesthetically pleasing colors and limited availability on menus. Think Laffy Taffy or a creamier banana Slurpee.
