If you aren't very impressed with Google's recently launched mid-range Pixel 3a XL but still want a big Pixel, how about a Pixel 3 XL? The project comes from Google's Advanced Technology and Projects (ATAP) in-house technology incubator and was introduced back in 2015. This could mean a lot of different, and sometimes odd, possibilities. At the time, Google showed it working on a smartwatch and a music speaker.
Earlier this year, the FCC approved Project Soli, which was described in the documentation as a way "to enable touchless control of device functions or features, which can benefit users with mobility, speech, and tactile impairments".
At Google I/O in 2016, the company showed live demonstrations that were recorded on video. Forget them, as a new set of Pixel 4 renders totally contradicts everything we've seen so far, with a twist of taking a page out of Apple's alleged 2019 iPhone 11 design. Thus whenever we see something remotely Pixel 4-related we get a little bit excited. There isnt much we can report about the display front, though it would seem Google might opt for the Notch on the front, that remains to though.
The hands-on images were put up Slashleaks and appeared to be legit images showcased the Pixel 4 device featuring the already expected punch-hole display on the front.
As always these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt.
As for pricing, the Pixel 3 starts at $799 while the Pixel 3 XL is priced at $899 and up. It might be possible that Google keeps glass for its flagships and turns to polycarbonate (plastic) builds for its future budget devices, presumably the Pixel 4a and 4a XL.
