We'll have to see when Doom Eternal releases on November 22 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Bethesda is introducing new software technology for game streaming. As of today, it's getting its biggest update yet. One for launching in a rather poor state, and the other for being heavily geared toward micro-transactions.
How long will the Bethesda E3 2019 press conference be? What can we say about this game?
Called the Wastelanders update, this new (and free) expansion will finally bring traditional Fallout-style NPCs to the game, complete with questions and dialogue trees with special options based on your stats and perks. And well on its way to becoming Game of the Year.
Elder Scrolls Blades is coming to Nintendo Switch in Fall 2019. And yes, it will still retain its free-to-play status in the transition. The first expansion is coming soon and will include additional cheat codes, such as low gravity, more vehicles (including a pilotable mech), a full new storyline, and a new enemy faction with more foes to kill. We get a lengthy CGI trailer with a mounted soldier taking on a dragon before some backup shows up to help take it down, though we don't get to see the conflict fully resolved.
Mikami, whose company Tango Gameworks is a subsidiary of ZeniMax, has been teasing fans on Twitter. The pre-rendered cinematic sets the scene for a very different survival horror experience than the studio's previous games - The Evil Within. It doesn't appear that either game has a release date for Japan yet, but that might be shared later this week.
With the recent release of The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr across PC and consoles, Bethesda made a decision to showcase the new cinematic for the expansion at its press conference. The trailer looks fantastic!
There has been no official release date given to the Elder Scrolls 6 project so far, but there is a timeline that Bethesda's Todd Howard might well have hinted towards. We read the official description, but not before having watched the trailer in computer graphics at the head of the news. It doesn't look great. During the conference, Bethesda also dropped a lengthy trailer for the game. We do have the Japanese trailers for both titles though, with the DOOM Eternal trailer featuring a dub, and the Wolfenstein: Youngblood trailer being subbed. In the game, BJ Blazkowicz's twin daughters, Jess and Soph, liberate Paris from the Nazi threat as they search for their father in the first open-ended co-op adventure in the series. There were more than a few echoes from Ubisoft's E3 2015 press conference, when that company came in for an terrible lot of stick after Watch Dogs failed to live up to expectations and Assassin's Creed Unity turned out to be a buggy mess, and it was with good reason that Bethesda shifted to a more conciliatory tone. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait to see more later on. A few glimpses of what's to come in 2020 and a fairly lengthy look at Doom Eternal aside, their entire show was shackled by the need to shore up Fallout 76 and make it vaguely the game it should have been at launch. Which just so happens to be my birthday. The great thing about DOOM Eternal is that there simply isn't one or even two things you can point to that define even the relatively short section of the game we had the chance to experience.
