During the surgery, doctors removed his gallbladder and part of his intestine.
Ortiz was rushed to the hospital in a black Rolls-Royce owned by a wealthy friend, Eliezer Salvador, who was with him at the time.

The gunman was captured and beaten by a crowd of people at the bar, and police were waiting for him to undergo treatment for his injuries before questioning him, authorities said.
