Cuphead, the extra-challenging indie game from StudioMDHR, is coming to a new platform, but it's probably not the one you'd expect.
Days before Tesla announced its prices for the made-in-China Model 3, the EV maker was said to be considering pricing its flagship electric vehicle at between US$43,400 (300,000 Chinese yuan) and US$50,700 (350,000 yuan) before subsidies.
Tesla reported $700 million in losses for the first quarter of 2019.
Recently, Musk tweeted about Unity, the game engine which powers Cuphead, running on Tesla with the promise of more in-car games becoming available once they finished porting the software. It's a cool game.
"Finding out that Mr. Musk was a fan of our game was extremely humbling and getting a chance to work with such an innovative company has been really exciting", Studio MDHR's Maja Moldenhauer said. It's insanely hard, by design.
Musk has confirmed that his team has worked with Cuphead creators Studio MDHR to get Cuphead up-and-running in a Tesla.
As of right now, only Inkwell Isle One is playable due to storage constraints. "We hope Cuphead can add some classic fun to such forward-thinking vehicles". As anyone who's played the game surely knows, it's a fast-paced and highly challenging shoot 'em up that requires more hand-eye dexterity than touchscreen controls typically allow. Because of that, a wired USB controller is required: It can not be played with the built-in touchscreen controls. The list includes: 2048, Super Breakout, Missile Command, Asteroids, Lunar Lander, and Centipede.
