Adult Swim announced at the WarnerMedia upfront presentation today in New York City that the hit adult animated sci-fi comedy will launch its fourth season in November 2019.
"Rick and Morty" Season 4 is on it's way! That's a long wait for new episodes, but the good news is, we shouldn't have to worry about these long waits between seasons anymore. Watch the Rick and Morty season 4 release date announcement below.
In true Rick and Morty fashion, the neurotic duo is a little nervous and sheepish about making the announcement, but they get through it and give fans the information they've been so desperately seeking for over a year now.
Roiland, who created the show alongside Dan Harmon, told Polygon: "We're super excited that, for the first time ever, we're locked in, we know what the future is, we have job security". And you need to get used to waiting through long breaks between seasons. "It's going to be really cool". So a two-year-long hiatus is pretty typical for the series. We've seen a handful of glimpses inside the production, including hints pointing to a new "Interdimensional Cable" episode, glimpses inside the writers room and the first announced guest voice for the new season. Rick and Morty also has become a multi-platform sensation not just on television, but across digital, gaming, livestreaming, retail, and fan experiences. This season the rest of the family, his son-in-law Jerry (Chris Parnell), grand-daughter Summer (Spencer Grammer) and grandson Morty (Justin Roiland) are dragged into Rick's intergalactic adventures, as he faces new threats and mysteries of his secret past are revealed.
