Realme is barely a year old but it's already firmly established itself as a major player in India and several other markets. Sales kick off on May 20 in China, and the device will make its way to other Asian markets - including India - shortly. In the last few quarters, the Realme smartphones gave a tough competition to Xiaomi's Redmi series.
The Realme X Lite comes with a 6.3-inch IPS LCD panel that offers Full HD+ resolution. There are also no-cost EMI options available. Like the OnePlus 7 Pro, the Realme X uses a larger (44% larger, to be exact) sensor, which in combination with a DSP acceleration engine provides a snappier unlock.
The first thing that you'll notice about the phone is the full screen display, and there's no notch. This smartphone is equipped with a 6.53-inch display with a resolution of 2340×1080. The display is shielded by a layer of Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood runs Qualcomm's Snapdragon 710 processor paired with Adreno 616 GPU. The device will be available in three different storage options - 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB, and 8GB + 128GB. Realme is touting that it is using UFS 2.1 for the storage, but we're not sure if it applies to all the three models or just the top model. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor, with Realme stating that the module itself is faster and more reliable than first-gen sensors from previous year. On the front side, there's a 25-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling. The star product is the Realme X flagship smartphone which comes with a pop-up selfie snapper, in-display fingerprint scanner, and more. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, dual-SIM and a micro USB port.
The Realme X has a 10nm Snapdragon 710 chipset paired with 4GB, 6GB or even 8GB of RAM.
While the standard Realme X comes in Steam White and Punk Blue colors, the Realme X Naoto Fukasawa collection will be available with Onion and White Garlic finish.
As far as pricing goes, the base 4 GB variant with 64 GB storage has been priced at CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs 15,320), the 6 GB RAM with 64 GB storage variant at CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs 16,342) and the top-end 8 GB RAM variant with 128 GB storage has been priced at CNY 1,799 (approximately Rs 18,386).
