Disney drops new trailer for 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil'

I've already made it known that, despite it being a relatively unpopular opinion, I really enjoyed Maleficent, and of all the Disney live-action films, it's probably the most creative.

The teaser trailer for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, the sequel to Maleficent, is here. Also on board for the second go-round are Chiwetel Ejiofor (another damn fine reason to watch), Sam Riley, Harris Dickinson, Ed Skrein (he's gotta be playing a bad guy, right?), Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville. And Queen Ingrith (Michelle) is now the new foe of Maleficent and the latter creates new havoc in the kingdom.

Fans have been all over Maleficient's new look in the film and her meetup with Pfeiffer's evil queen. It is produced by Joe Roth, Jolie and Duncan Henderson with Matt Smith, Jeff Kirschenbaum and Michael Vieira serving as executive producers. Except, true to form, things don't go as planned and Maleficent finds herself at odds with Queen Ingrith (Michelle Pfeiffer) and ultimately has to resort to using some of her dark magic.

If devoted Disney fans think they know how this classic story will end, Maleficent ominously promises in the trailer that "this is no fairytale".

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will conjure its way into theaters on October 18th, and as soon as Disney decides to show us a little more from the highly anticipated sequel, we'll be sure to let you know.
