All of these updates will reflect only on the Web version of Skype for desktop users running on Windows 10 or Mac OSX10.12 or higher.
Skype for Web refresh launches for ‘all’ desktops
HD video calling-Experience HD in one-to-one or group video calling, now with call reactions. First is a new notifications panel that pings the user each time they're mentioned or quoted.
Finally, there's also a new feature that lets users search within individual conversations.
As well, the new Skype for Web product features the software's notification panel, which makes it easy to catch up on whatever took place while away.
Users can also find messages in the current conversation by typing in the word or phrase that they want to look for in the search box. An option called the Chat Media Gallery has also been added to the browser version in which users looking for a particular file, links, and photos which were previously shared in a conversation be it a day or a month before, can easily find that particular photo, files etc.
Whether recently released features for the desktop version of Skype will also eventually come to the web app remains uncertain. Don't hesitate to let us know in the comments section below.
