In China, Musk sure felt the love missing back home

In a video shared on January 10 by The Global Times, the Tesla CEO can be seen dining at the highly-regarded hot pot spot, Qimen Shuanrou, according to Shanghaiist.

These prices don't include the federal tax credit, which recently decreased from $7500 to $3750 after Tesla passed 200,000 electric vehicles sold in the U.S. This move also follows a $2000 price cut across the lineup and a simplification of option packages and color selection for the Model S and Model X lineups.

Tesla boss Elon Musk has been offered Chinese permanent residency by Premier Li Keqiang after Musk said he really loves China during a meeting in Beijing, the government said Thursday.

Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, met on Wednesday with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in Beijing two days after the entrepreneur broke ground on Tesla's first manufacturing base outside of the United States, located in Shanghai, South China Morning Post reported. The plant will be the first wholly foreign-owned vehicle factory in the country.

Li congratulated Musk on kicking off construction of the factory and said the world's second-biggest economy will continue to be a hot spot for foreign investors and welcome all companies.

Li replied: 'If this is what you truly have in mind, we can issue you a "Chinese green card"'.

Members of this club, according to the paper, include Dutch scientist Bernard Feringa, who won the 2016 Nobel Prize in chemistry, former National Basketball Association all-star Stephon Marbury, and Nobel-winning economist Robert Mundell. It also delivered a total 245,240 cars in full-2018, which is more than Tesla's deliveries for all prior years, the company said. China responded in kind, adding tariffs to an equal amount of USA products. China's foreign ministry spokesman Lu Kang also said that the results of the talks could "be beneficial for both China and the USA and also a good news for the global economy".
