Resident Evil 2 '1-Shot' Demo Arriving This Week

The Resident Evil 2 1-Shot Demo goes live on all platforms January 11. From January 11-31, a "1-Shot Demo" will give players 30 minutes to complete a mission in Raccoon City as rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy-or die beneath the jagged nails and rotting teeth of the zombie horde, as the case may be. Win, and you restart, and the hands keep on turning. The full game will be out on January 25. An odd choice, but one sure to cause some panicky deaths.

Brendy tried out the remake in his Resident Evil 2 preview, and found it to be an intriguing blend of old and new. Luckily, it looks like a Resident Evil demo is on its way - and soon! If you manage to complete the demo objective in that time, you'll be shown "brand-new cinematic trailer exclusive to demo participants".

You've probably seen a bit of footage of Resi 2 by now, so chances are you'll be familiar with the locations of the demo.

There are now no details regarding what will be included in the new demo when it rolls out, but you can expect more Smokin' Sick action with Nero, possibly Dante, and maybe even newcomer and third playable protagonist, V who wields a cane and can summon animals to his aid.

"If players succumb to the zombies during their 30 minutes, they can continue any number of times until the full 30 minutes have been reached". I'm looking forward to trying it myself this weekend - maybe I'll even survive to the end.

With all of the incredible teasers we've been getting for the intricate remake of Resident Evil 2, it's understandable why so many fans would be clamoring for a demo before the game's release.
