Samsung, which was expected to be the first smartphone maker to unveil a foldable smartphone was beaten by Royole, a startup that launched the FlexPai, a foldable smartphone. The promo image also states that the device will launch on December 10 at an event in China.
Huawei recently confirmed the launch date for it's Huawei Nova 4 smartphone by releasing a teaser poster on its official Weibo account. Of course, the announcement can not be coincidental as both the companies were in the race to launch the first smartphone hole in display since November and it appears that Samsung was just waiting for Huawei to announce the launch date.
Samsung Galaxy A8s, the world's first phone with an in-display camera, will launch in China on December 10. The upcoming handset is expected to have a 6.3-inch 2340 x 1080 LCD display with a screen aspect ratio of 19.5:9, according to GSM Arena.
There have been several leaks detailing the specs of the Samsung Galaxy A8s. To capture selfies and to make video calls the device will use a 24MP camera up front.
Huawei managed to keep three of the bezels fairly small, though theres a bit of a chin at the bottom. The Nova 4 is launching on December 17. A 3,400mAh non-removable battery is also rumored, and it will be interesting to see what version of Android will ship on the phone, will it be Android 8.1 Oreo, or Android 9 Pie with Samsung's all-new One UI skin.

The phone is said to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack as well. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 710 SoC along with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 512GB). On the rear, there are triple cameras arranged in the same way as on the Huawei P20 Pro.
