George HW Bush's Service Dog Sully Pictured By Coffin

A memorial service for President Bush will be conducted at St. Martin's Episcopal Church. The casket will be in a auto with Plexiglas windows to allow people to see it during the trip, according to family spokesman Jim McGrath.

Jeb Bush also saluted Sully.

A ceremony will be held at the train station as Bush's casket is loaded onto a Union Pacific train.

Sully, a 2-year-old yellow Labrador retriever, is named after the pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger III, who on January 15, 2009, landed a passenger plane in the Hudson River after hitting a flock of geese. He was portrayed by Tom Hanks in a movie about the incident.

Bush introduced Sully in June by releasing a photo of himself sitting with the yellow Labrador and a special guest, former president Bill Clinton.

The yellow Lab was trained by America's VetDogs, which places service dogs and guide dogs with veterans, active-duty service members and first responders. The former President, who suffered from a form of Parkinson's disease late in life, had used a wheelchair since 2012.

"Sully could open doors, pick up items and summon help", The Associated Press reported.

Bush's body will be transported by a motorcade Monday morning from a Houston funeral home to Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base, a Texas Air National Guard base.

President George H.W. Bush's loyal companion remained by his side Sunday night - his service dog, Sully, keeping watch until the very end. and beyond.

Dana Carvey, who impersonated Bush on the sketch comedy show from 1986 through 1993, had his work seemingly cut out for him, considering his subject didn't have the larger-than-life or scandalous attributions that would make lampooning easy.

After returning to the office's headquarters in CT, she edited the conversation and sent the manuscript back to the White House for final approval.
