Right now, all we know is that Diablo Immortals is coming soon.
Apparently, fragments of the corrupted Worldstone have tainted the land, alluring ancient evils who are now looking for ways to harness the power of the stone and enslave humanity. Fans expected a host of Diablo announcements and instead were met with the reveal of a mobile game.
"Designed to be a living, breathing, and constantly evolving experience, Diablo Immortal will regularly introduce new storylines, new playable character classes, new loot, and all-new challenges", said Blizzard.
During the BlizzCon opening ceremony, Blizzard announced Diablo: Immortal, a brand-new Diablo game made exclusively for iOS and Android mobile devices, but the Diablo community has reacted extremely negatively.
"We have said that we have multiple Diablo teams working on multiple Diablo projects and that remains true, even after releasing [Diablo 3 for Nintendo] Switch and announcing Diablo: Immortal", Adham said.
