A woman carries a portrait of Nusara Suknamai, former Miss Thailand and member of the staff of Leicester City owner Thai businessman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, during her funeral, in Pathum Thani province outside Bangkok, Thailand November 3, 2018.
Vichai and four other people died when his helicopter plummeted to the ground just outside the King Power Stadium following the game against West Ham last weekend.
A Premier League referee has come under criticism for his decision to book Leicester City's Demari Gray for removing his jersey after scoring a goal for his side in today's clash against Cardiff City.
"It's been the hardest week of everyone's lives", he told Sky Sports.
"We don't know the people involved as closely as the players, and it's affected us really deeply, so I can't imagine how the players and managers, who day by day knew Khun Vichai and how he worked, must be feeling".
"We need to make sure we go out there and honor his name and put in a performance that will hopefully get the win".
A memorial is taking place outside the club's stadium, with several players paying tribute to Srivaddhanaprabha in recent days.
On the Cardiff clash, Vardy added: "We all spoke about it, about wanting to play".
"He wasn't just a chairman, he literally was part of your extended family".
For Leicester City this victory simultaneously mattered not a jot and yet meant the world. They are driving us on.
The first stage of the funeral was held at Debsirindrawas temple in Bangkok on Saturday evening and was marked with a traditional Buddhist bathing rite and a recitation ceremony in which monks will say prayers from religious texts every night for a week.
Leicester held on to win 1-0, a result we were all kind of hoping and rooting for - bar Cardiff fans, naturally.
"It'll be massively important we attend", Jamie Vardy said of the funeral plan.
In the first public reaction from the family, Vichai's youngest son Aiyawatt - better known by his nickname "Top" - said in an Instagram post this week that his father had "left me with a legacy to continue and I will do everything I can to carry on his big vision and dreams".
