Red Dead Redemption 2 Download Size Is Over 100 GB

Red Dead Redemption 2 has a colossal file size.

As reported on the package, Red Dead Online will host up to 32 players, which is slightly higher in comparison with GTA Online, that's limited to 30 players.

This makes Red Dead one of the biggest games - storage wise - to ever come out on the PS4, beating Battlefield 4 Premium Edition's requirement of 71GB by a considerable margin. Yep, Rockstar Games' upcoming epic requires a monstrous install, but there's no doubt it will be worth it.

The wild west is big.

Given that most consoles have either 500GB or 1TB worth of space to work with, making room for a 105GB game won't be an easy task for everyone. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive.

The game, which takes a whopping 105GB of space to install on the systems getting a special PlayStation 4 bundle as well, whose box notes the "timed exclusive for 30 days" teased on the packaging. There are a lot of details revealed by this bundle which I will be mentioning below. Included in the middle of that content is the file size that starts at 105 GB, a value that it says is the minimum amount needed to play the game on the PlayStation 4 Pro.

Aside from the massive download size, the fine print also sheds light on Red Dead Online, the multiplayer feature planned to enter the game post launch. So PlayStation users will have access to some unique content, and now we also know they'll get it ahead of everyone else. Let's keep everything crossed for a smoother launch for Red Dead Online.
