Fortnite's getting a new boxed retail edition just in time for Christmas, but it won't launch with the original version of the game. According to a prepared statement from Warner Bros., Fortnite: Deep Freeze Bundle release date is November 16 for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
The Deep Freeze bundle will be on sale for $29.99 (around £23).
When we contacted Epic, a spokesperson confirmed that the bundle would not include Save the World, which now goes for $39.99, but has seen a few 50% reductions over the past year. Nevertheless, beyond a physical copy of the game, this Deep Freeze bundle also comes with the following: Frostbite outfit, Cold Front glider, Chill-Axe pickaxe, Freezing Point back bling, and 1,000 V-bucks. Disco Domination offers 50v50 match-ups, with respawning available until the third and final storm circle starts closing in, and while you're doing that, you can also give the Quad Launcher a go. For context, 1,000 V-bucks is the equivalent of $10 United States dollars. Fortnite's Legendary outfits cost 2,000 V-Bucks ($20). Want to spend money to purchase a free-to-play game? Now the game only allows you to interact with doors by opening and closing them, so it's likely a new animation or interaction of some sort will be rolled out when the challenges go live.
With another rocket launcher, it'll continue to be tough for players to out-build their opponents.
New Fortnite Week 3 challenges are set to go live in under 10 MINUTES. Fans haven't particularly been supporters of many explosives, and it would probably be safe to say the Quad Launcher will have to overcome some skeptical thinking.
