From the cherry-red cardigan sweater to the bright blue sneakers to the crisp khakis, Hanks looks the spitting image of Rogers as he's depicted, perched on the entrance to a trailer.
Variety first reported in January that Hanks would play Rogers in TriStar Pictures' biographical drama, with production starting in September.
He also sports greying hair and eyebrows for his portrayal of the beloved star.
This year's documentary Won't You Be My Neighbor brought tears to the eyes of many movie goers who were lucky enough to catch the movie about Fred Rogers and his children's program Mr. Rogers Neighborhood in theaters.

Rogers, improbably, is a hot ticket in Hollywood after the spectacular returns for Morgan Neville's documentary Won't You Be My Neighbor?
'[This] movie is.... not a biopic, ' the filmmaker told Entertainment Weekly.
"I disliked that when it got announced it was characterized as [a biopic]", the filmmaker said.
The film, based on a screenplay written by Emmy-nominated Transparent producers Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster, opens in theaters nationwide on October 18, 2019.
