HMD Global is launching a new smartphone on October 4 in London

At the launch event, the company had announced that the Nokia 5.1 Plus will start shipping in the country by the end of September 2018.

In addition to launching gaming centric devices, companies are also introducing features aimed at gamers in their devices.

The Nokia 5.1 Plus is powered by MediaTek's Helio P60 SoC and it runs stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo as it's an Android One smartphone. The tweet included a 10-second showing some games being played on a device. Global HMD aims to deliver Android One on all their phones, so this OS should expect on Nokia 7.1 Plus.

Nokia 7.1 Plus may have bigger display as compared to the Nokia 7.1 but other features/specs may be comparable including the processor. The battery specs are not out yet, but it's expected to be somewhere around 3,500mAh. It now seems that Nokia is looking to bring the ageing 7 Plus up to the modern times. Recent reports suggest that Nokia 7.1 Plus will sport a 6.9-inch screen with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels.

It seems a new Nokia phone will be unveiled on October 4 in London as per media invites being sent out.

In terms of optics, the phone will feature dual rear camera set up consisting of 13MP primary sensor and 5MP secondary sensor. For security goal, there's a rear mounted fingerprint sensor.

A teaser related to the Nokia 5.1 Plus on Flipkart revealed that the phone will be available for purchase in India exclusively through their platform.

Another thing worth noting is that the Nokia 5.1 Plus is an Android One handset, which means that it will receive monthly security patches and timely iterative software updates.

At the time of its launch in India, the worldwide variant of the Nokia X5 did not get a price tag in the country. It's just a couple of weeks away, so it can be Nokia 9 or Nokia 7.1 Plus, or both.
