Two Hamas Terrorists Dead as Israel Returns Fire from Gaza

Israel's military attacked a Hamas post in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, killing two militants, Israeli officials and media said. "An IDF tank targeted the post from which the shots were fired", the military said.

"The (military) clarified to the ship's passengers that they are violating the legal naval blockade and that any humanitarian merchandise can be transferred to Gaza through the Port of Ashdod", the statement said.

High level sources in Gaza told "Al-Khaleej Online" newspaper that Hamas welcomed the amended Egyptian initiative, which added to the Hamas-Fatah reconciliation process three more conditions, including a prisoner exchange deal, truce in Gaza, and ending the siege on the strip. One Israeli soldier was killed by a Gaza sniper during this period. It then cuts to footage of a shell hitting the post and an explosion.

Israel killed two Hamas fighters following shooting attacks on its soldiers, spurring threats of revenge from the terrorist group that runs the Gaza Strip.

But Hamas said its fighters were taking part in a live-fire exercise and that Israel would pay for their deaths.

Over the past four months, 160 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire, including at least 120 in the protests near the fence, according to the Gaza Health Ministry and a local rights group.

On Monday, Israel responded to the launching of flaming balloons from Gaza into southern Israel by launching an airstrike, injuring two Gazans.

Tensions have soared since Hamas launched mass protests along the border in March.
